Way too sarcastic for me. And where's the subtlety of "Let the right one in?" No go, I quit.

That isn’t Elias. He took a step back from the body that lay nestled in the plush upholstery. It was a dwarf. An ancient dwarf-man who had been buried in Elias’ place.

For it was not terror or horror that she felt when she looked at her husband, dead three years after their fiftieth anniversary, now returned. No. Only surprise and… a kind of exhaustion.

When you’ve been sitting in the outhouse for a while, you don’t notice the smell anymore.

This felt entirely appropriate: catastrophe eclipses everything.

Beautiful, clear prose. No dead weight in this book so far, beyond the zombies that is.

Hmmm, voorlopig veel slordiger en meer voorspelbaar geschreven dan "Let the right on in".

Definitely a different way of handling this topic. Wondering how they're gonna wrap all this is up in just 100 more pages!

Muuuuy bueno. Adictivo.

Vamos a ver qué tal.

Empezó muy bien. Creo que el gran punto de partida para cualquier historia es empatizar muy cabrón con los personajes. Lo está logrando.

He lay gor a while and breathed, trying not to think. His mouth was dry, his tongue sticking to the roof of his mouth. This could not be happening. And yet it was. What do you do in this situation? Either you lie down and die and attempt not to exist. Or else you accept, and go on.

Everything electrical and mechanical had been Tore's domain. After he fell ill with Alzheimer's, Elvy had been forced to call an electrician the first time the fuse had blown. She'd never been entrusted with that kind of information because she was considered delicate. But the electrician, who didn't know about her limitations, showed her what to do and now she could do it.

As he walked through the corridors to Eva's room, all the lamps above the doors were blinking and an alarm sounded continuously. This felt entirely appropriate: catastrophe eclipses everything.

As I began this book....I had an idea it wasn't going to be easy reading...and at first it did give me a few bad dreams and sad thoughts....I even considered not finishing it.....I'm almost at the end now...and have found it very thought provoking and more protective over the little person I brought into the world three years ago....and hope, the ideas in this book so far...never come to pass!
