When I started reading this I thought it was all about a couple on the rocks, but I didn’t expect a moral crusade which completely changes someone’s character and makes his wife think he’s lost his mind, he’s emotionally damaging his marriage and relationships with his children, and making his wife question whether she’s a good person.

An interesting list of people David (used to) and his friend Andrew regard as useless, overrated or simply wankers - extensive, nearly a page long. I agree with less than half. Notable

After 50 pages she’s doing a u turn and is willing to do anything to get back on track. She shot herself in the foot when she admitted the adultery.
Hung up on the word ‘pacific’ - Katie looking for a ‘pacific’ - peaceful alt to divorce. Use of this word interests me because it is commonly misused in place of ‘specific’.
