Emma’s “humor” is just so quirky! Like that’s the only thing that’s slightly annoying about this book. I really can’t with that type of white people nonsense

100 page mark! I really love how Emma’s anxiety is being portrayed, feels accurate. I can see how’s she using this cleaning and organizing as a way to feel in control. Because she feels so helpless in her situation.

Honestly I was surprised I enjoyed this so much. Weirdly what bothered me is that the physical descriptions of the characters did not match what I saw in my head so every time someone was described in looks, I was thrown off.

Saylor, well, she could be anyone.

It’s got a slow-ish start but overall, I like it.

"Your cousin?" Taylor looks at Emma again and says, "You're forgetting I know all your cousins."

there are so many characters my brain hurts

i just want to be DONE WITH THIS BORING MESS. i’ve realized after trying to finish this for over a month i’m not longer the age demographic for this authors books. honestly i don’t know if there really is even a demographic for this authors books. the way she writes teens is so out of touch tbh
