Like I felt like I was THERE in this book and that’s great especially since it’s finals season and I want it to be summer more than anything right now.

Pretty good actually

1. Don’t talk to me about picking up another aggressively white Sarah Dessen book after complaining about the last one… I already owned it and I’m no quitter 😤
2. Every time a book is set in a small beachside/lakeside town I think of The Last Song
3. Why was chapter 3 SO LONG?
4. You gotta admit there’s something comforting in Dessen’s formulaic writing, let’s you turn your noggin off

I know there's underlying reasoning behind the individual characters' decisions but this parental conflict is so frustrating

So I read a lot during benchmarks yesterday. I was honestly terrified when Emma's dad caught her. But he's honestly been getting on my nerves the last few chapters. With all the talk about her name, and how he's trying to keep her away from Waverly's family. But what he's doing is totally justified, well maybe not completely, but I get it.
