What I am getting so far is HUMILITY. Leaders have HUMILITY. Failure is part of the growth process. In order to succeed and grow, there will be, and should be failures along the way. Get out of your comfort zone and spread your wings!

How you see problems shapes your attitude & your leadership. Do you see problems as an opportunity to use your leadership for the better of you team? Or are they inconveniences that simply ruin your plans & discourage you?

Quickest way to gain leadership: Problem Solving! Look at problems through the lens of opportunity. Problems are opportunities to improve, make things better!

Reviewing the Maxwell 5 levels of leadership.

Busy times with work caused me to fall behind. And read the last few days, but forgot to update. Almost there. I love this book. Just finished Chapter 9: Self-Discipline.

Chapter 6: Attitude

Whatever it takes, don’t be afraid to fail, dust yourself off and try again.

The price of success is failure.

Exceed expectations, even your own.

Never be satisfied.

Do things on purpose.

A mistake is only a failure if you don’t learn from it.

Chapter 5: Problem Solving

As a leader, the more disconnected you are from your people, the more disconnected you may become from the problems.

Our plates as leaders will always be filled with problems. “The hardest thing about milking cows is that they never stay milked.”

I’ve had to let go of my need to be right and focus on the greater need to do right.
