An interesting intersection of Guatemala and Chilean history. I can’t wait to read more Allende.

Me ha encantado! Hay diálogos, frases que las tendré muy presentes, que guardan tanta verdad de la vida. Hace tiempo que no leía y este libro me ha caído a pelo, me ha provocado varios sentimientos, casi como ver una obra de teatro.. la recomiendo.

En un relato estuve apunto de llorar, pero el taxi indicó que ya había llegado a mi destino u pues, perdí la hilación .. luego en otros capítulos me he divertido mucho!

I really enjoy this author.

I’ve just met the three main characters and am intrigued so far.

Not a fan of reading about people over the age of 60+, trying to find someone to have sex with ... hope this is not a main theme spread throughout the book

Oh boy, not another one!

Not a long book but have not been that into it.

Oh, it's heart-rendingly moving. I can't read too much in one sitting because it makes me cry. I know people - actually know them personally - who've been through circumstances like the two women characters. This makes it very real and I get reeled in extra deep. This is a MUST read. I can tell without getting to the end. Superior writing skills to be sure.

Me quedo con la historia de Evelyn.

Exciting 😍😍

Las historias de Lucía y de Evelyn son durísimas.

It was a quirky story. I have enjoyed her previous works much more.

I am getting a bit more engaged with the character Evelyn. Still don't really like Richard but could definitely identify with Lucia. She's my kind of woman and I cannot help but think that Allende speaks through her at times.

Loving this read

I love all the history and actual conditions of the latin America. More people should read this and know about it.
However, the book itself is a bit boring.
