Hmmm, so I'm about to read 3 stories framed by ONE where 3 characters share backstories and we are supposed to look forward to the Venn Centre it seems. All right, I'll give it a go. At least it gets me out of the 'Terminal Illness' plot lines and back into 'immigrant story' narrative (that I usually enjoy). Too soon to tell though.

A Lucía le pareció que él se veía más apuesto que nunca y sintió un chispazo de pesar por el amor perdido, que se apagó de inmediato. En verdad no sentía nada por él, sólo agradecimiento por ser el padre de Daniela. Pensaba que le haría bien tenerle un poco de rabia, sería lo más sano, pero ni eso se le daba. Del amor encendido que le tuvo durante muchos años no quedaba ni el rescoldo de la desilusión.
