If I can get past the very boring narrators in the audio version I may like the book.

Deary me this isn't great, the story is kind of far fetched.

Me encanta.

It did not get any more interesting. I hate Richard and Lucia is stupid for liking him.

I'm still kind of trudging through this. I love that the 3 main characters are being voiced by 3 completely different people. I just can get invested in a plot line that in theory is very interesting.

I keep waiting for the story to stir my interest more than it has so far. The two perspective love thing is the most interesting thing so far. War crime just makes me sad. Extreme frugality through assumed privilege makes me sad. Repressed people due to their ethnicity makes me sad. I'm just meh. I clicked on this book by accident in the Libby app and thought I'd give it a go anyway and I'm about to abandon it.

One of my favourite writers and this one does not disappoint.
Like this bit: it was better to believe in everything than in nothing...

Like this bit:
“The lack of a father leaves a hole in a woman’s heart; she needs masculine energy to develop trust in men and later to be able to give herself in love. ...
And a father who is untrustworthy does the same damage as a father who is not around.

I like the quote she’s taken from Albert Camus
In the midst of winter, I finally found there was within me an invincible summer.

Talk about a downward spiral... this book has definitely taken a turn for the worse towards the end.
