Switched to this edition purely so the page count is correct (though I do own this edition too and it’s stunning!). It’s a good start so far, definitely some intriguing plots being introduced

No one does the miscommunication trope quite like Cassie Clare. No one makes me want to SHAKE PEOPLE AND YELL AT THEM TO JUST FUCKING TALK TO EACH OTHER quite like Cassandra Clare. I haven't been this frustrated since Chain of Iron and Chain of Thorns.

Okay so if you’re watching a tv series and there is 10 episodes this book is if 7/10 episodes are plot building. I can say I stuck with it and I’m not mad. “Together” gave me chills and I can’t wait for the next book. BUT THERE BETTER BE IMMEDIATE DELIVERY OF PLOT.
