Just finished ending #3. What the hell did I just read?

Jane and Ivy's relationship is... awkward. They just met but act like they've known each other for ages. I don't like it :|

Jane: I'm the sultan of subtlety.
Also Jane: I'm attracted to the kind of person who knows long, impressive scrabble words.

Stepped away from the book and can't get the characters/situation out of my mind.

Completely hooked. I'm going to have a hard time putting this book down.

This is the oddest book.

God Jane is just so nosey. She constantly suspects someone she just met is lying and has to call them out in front of everyone.

So far, I love this: such a fun nod to gothic fiction. Now we're getting into the choose your own adventure portion!

This book is such a genre bender. What.

Finally used to the way this book is written and I'm very much enjoying it so far! Waiting for the magical realism I saw mentioned. Right now it's all mystery (which isn't a bad!)

The writing style is something I'm slowly getting used to. It feels very odd to me but I'm still liking the book so far.

I've not been able to spot a single book trope yet.

Okay, I'm completely hooked. The characters...the mystery...the dog! And what a unique sort of plot structure! I've stayed up until 2 a.m. reading because I've been riveted, and wish I could power through a little longer, but I need to get some sleep and ruminate on what I've read so far. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

Still passing the Bechdel test from page one.
