The missing masterpiece

Jane may not be comfortable in this house, but she wonders if maybe this house makes her comfortable in herself. She feels almost as if she's meeting herself again after a long absence.

He makes her feel like she might be about to do something unwise.

I don't really like Mysteries. I probably wouldn't have picked this up had I known it was this much of one.

I received this ARC a few days ago, and I'm currently managing a couple pages a day from it. So far it's not grabbing me like I thought it would. A few "Huh, thats interesting" moments, but more often than not I'm finding things that bug me about the writing.

Fifty pages in and only thought, "what the Hell am I reading?" I missed a session and waited in ARC line, for THIS? Improve soon please.

This books seriously reminds me of L'Engle's books. It's quite a trip and an interesting way to tell a story.

I think it's worth noting how subversive it is that the carelessly rich girl is not white.

I am fully prepared for this to be the Kristin Cashore book that I love unequivocally.

This is so fun and mysterious and has so many of my favorite things

I keep thinking I should give up on this one, but my need to see some kind of clarification and resolution beats out my need to give up. I hope the ending is worth it. I just read a School Library Journal review for it that cleared some things up...maybe I can enjoy it more now.

still weird, but I am enjoying the quirkiness.

This is really good so far! There are so many characters to keep track of but they're all pretty unique so it's not too bad. I'm definitely hooked!

I shouldn't have complained about the doctor who references. I was a fool. A fool.
