Status Updates From Jane, Unlimited

Am I losing interest or am I just too busy to focus I have no idea

I'm reallyyyy enjoying this so far! The mysterious house and the secrets and lies and crazy characters. And I'm pretty sure it's kinda like a choose your own adventure book which has be so excited! I stayed up way too late last night reading it and I'm hooked!

This book has become tedious.....

So far this is so good! I’m enthralled & wishing I had hours to sit & devour this!

I don't even kinda of know what just happened in the section I read. This book is bizarre and could really use some world building/mythology explaining. Yes, there has been little hints throughout, but not fully understanding what is going on isn't making this an enjoyable read.

I know I'm not far in at all, but I really do think Kristin Cashore is at her best with high fantasy...

DNF. I just couldn't get in to it, I stopped at 25%.

Good grief, this book is wearing me out. My obsessive need to complete books is carrying me, but it's a struggle to keep reading. The characters are just so . . . carefully and improbably quirky/bohemian in the most pretentious/off-putting manner, and the "mystery" is dealt with by simply not explaining anything and having every character speak in the most obnoxious, vague, and enigmatic . . . ugh. DRIVING ME CRAZY.

Multiverse is an interesting idea, is it not? But I'm kind of dying right now because I ship Kiran and Patrick so much... Please, please, please.

This book is a very delightful puzzle

I'm reading it at snail's pace but it's very very good!
The chapter I just read gave me The Goldfinch vibes and I'm loving it.

Also Jasper the basset hound is MVP and I love him.

Uggh, I kind of want to DNF, but then I'm already so far in.

Jane has the best sarcastic sense of humor. Also her hobby is making umbrellas and she's not straight. I'm hoping for Ivy/Jane content soon! I ❤️ Jane

I love the writing! I have a very good feeling about this book.
It's my first Kristin Cashore book.

I'm pushing through because I like the concept, but ugh, I don't like Jane or any of these other characters...so I'm struggling.

Finished Jane, Unlimited (the story). The only thing I liked was the ending. There's only The Strayhound, The Girl, and the Painting left, then I have finished Jane, Unlimited (the book).

There was a time when I wanted to get to the interesting parts. Now I don't believe those parts exist and I just want it to end.

Jane says that her aunt is brave because she's not afraid of:
- bull sharks (understandable)
- poisonous squids (as far as I know, they don't exist, so it's difficult to be afraid of them. There's a poisonous octopus and a poisonous cuttlefish, no squids)
- giant clams (they don't even move! Why should anyone be afraid of them?)
So brave, aunt Magnolia.

Finished Lies Without Borders, it was terrible.
Now onto In Which Someone Loses a Soul and Charlotte Finds One, I hope someone dies (all of them?)
