Status Updates From Jane, Unlimited

It’s unfortunately that his expires in less than 2 days because i am curious about it but tired of reading a rigorously as I have been. Going to do my make up today so probably will try to listen while doing that.

What a strange section.

Hey starting my first Kristen Cashore book. Hope I can finish this one before it expires 3 days from now. Already I’m interested as it seems that the characters are over the age of 20. Nice.

Well that was a crazy-ass chapter!

If this was written by an unknown author (and not Cashore whom I usually love) I'd have DNF'd it by now... painfully borning.
Seems like it shouldn't be based on plot but it just is for some inexplicable reason.

So strange... we've now been dropped into a slightly different view (from Jane) of events that already happened.
Like we're in stone loop where everything happens just a bit different each time.
My head is starting to hurt.

Ivy is acting very strangely. I wonder if it's just Ivy's personality or if she's trying to hide something. (A)

I'm really struggling getting into this which makes me so sad as the Graceling series by Cashore is so good.
It's really just a mystery so far about art theft. The characters are the focus and yet most of them are fairly boring. 😐

Okay, I really didn’t know what to expect when getting into this, but I’m totally hooked! All I want to do is spend the rest of the night finishing this!

Okay, so Ivy has made a Harry Potter reference and is so comfortable with her nerdiness. I love her already!

I had to return it to the library because I was leaving town unexpectedly for what turned out to be a month. I hope to get back to it soon!

It's as though our MC has been dropped into a version of the board game Clue where no one has died yet; but it's coming.
Very odd how everyone treats her and that she accepted the invite in the first place.
Taking some time to get my head around what is happening and why.

this book is mildly confusing but also good?

Started out strong, but this book has sort of lost my interest..

I can undoubtedly say this book is going to be one of my all-time favourite books.

Oh man I did not like that chapter one bit

There is no better descriptor than "legs that go on forever". It makes me smile every time.

Harry Potter referenced didn't excite me because they are so common these days. But the Doctor Who reference sure did!!
Although it's a little sad that Cashore felt the need to explain both references. I'd have liked them being Easter eggs for those who know instead.

Jane keeps noticing odd things about the house, and then Ivy comes along. She tells Jane that the dog appeared at their house as a puppy anonymously and disappears for days at a time. Ivy also tells Jane that the art and decorations are all stolen from different places. I predict that the house will be magical in some way. (S, P)

This is so very, very weird

Kiran brings up travel accidents and says sorry to Jane for bringing it up. Could something have happened on a photography trip that killed Aunt Magnolia? (A)

I feel like I never read about characters with tattoos and I have no idea why that is. Have I actually and just don't remember? Highly likely. But it stood out to me.

I'm afraid... Graceling is one of my fave series ever. Which means my expectations are high for Cashore. I hope she doesn't disappoint.

Okay, so this book is weird... but like in a good way. The premise is definitely interesting and like the characters. Also how can you now ship Ivy and Jane.

So this book is really weird.
"Jane's ears were uncomfortable" is actually a line in this book. I can't decipher a plot just yet, but who knows what I'll find later on.

The intro sets it up very well. Multiple endings?

Wow I’m loving this so far but it is sloooooooow going, I feel like I’ve read so much and I’m only 40 pages in omg
