Gaahh. I am such a Mitch Albom person. I love the way he narrates it. Captivating, light and whimsical.

This darn book made me weep at the laundromat. Despite that, I couldn't recommend this book more highly to anyone who cares at all about music, its creation, performance and history. FIVE STARS, please.

It's been a long while since I've done an ugly cry in the middle of a book, but yet here I am, not even at the halfway point, doing just that. 😳

Frankie Presto is the besto.

I like that this is a "Big Fish" type story with real musicians. It's kind of slow moving for me, but it doesn't follow that I'm not enjoying it.

Fantastic book, easy, quick read. Made me laugh and made me cry. A musical journey in a Forrest Gump style.

This is now my favorite Mitch Albom book and I haven't even finished it yet. I just love the way the story is told. The interviews at the funeral, Music's narration, the dialogue. This is a very beautiful book.

This book pulls at my heartstrings (hehe...get it?...."strings") No but really, I really do like this book. The writing style flows very well and the characters hold their own :)

I'm about 3 hours into the audiobook, and I am really enjoying it thus far. Music is an interesting (and sometimes conceited) narrator. The characters just seem so real.

Buku ini tema utamanya tentang musik dan (tentu, hampir semua buku Mitch Albom begitu) tentang kehidupan. Tokoh utamanya Frankie Presto seorang seniman jenius. Hal yang mengharukan bahwa 'orang tuanya' menginginkan ia belajar musik agar nanti ia bisa hidup dari sana. Menarik, bahwa musik diakui menjadi sesuatu 'lapangan pekerjaan'. Suatu skill yang membantu bertahan hidup.

Pada awalnya, saya membaca buku ini ketika saya memang tidak mood untuk membaca (saya tahu penyebabnya: kebanyakan main HP dan nonton Youtube haha). Saat ini, seperti biasanya, ketika saya membaca tulisan Mitch Albom, buku ini langsung mampu menemani perjalanan saya, dari BSD ke Cawang, Jakarta Timur sehingga menjadi tidak terasa terlalu berat.
