Albom writes with such beauty and soul that it forces you to look at life with a different lens. The raw emotions you feel from this book cannot be found elsewhere.

"All humans are musical. Why else would the Lord give you a beating heart." — well, you got me hooked right there, sir. a slight hiccup for me, tho; what the heck is a 5/6 tempo . . .

... and then the story got better again. Maybe it is because I have never read an entire biography of someone, especially not a fictional biography. I like this book, though. Maybe I could consider reading historical fictions I may have DNF-ed.

It got interesting on certain chapter, but then it kinda going downhill afterwards? I think I'm starting to just skim through the pages instead of actually getting immersed in the story.

I’m totally weirded (is this even a word?) by the fact that I am reading a book narrated by... Music. Music as a person. I mean, living thing.

It's just the beginning and I am totally into it. Adding icing on the cake, I am listening the audio book side by side. It's so beautifully narrated with the background guitar music. You should definitely try both of them together:)

She never failed to guess which were his. "How do you always know?" he would ask. "I can hear you in anything," she said.

"Play me the saddest song you got." Frankie hesitated. "Why do you want to hear a sad song?" The man took another swig from the flask. "They're more truer than the happy ones, don'tcha think?"

Silence enhances music. What you do not play can sweeten what you do. But it is not the same with words. What you do not say can haunt you.
