I would like some more of a plot line please.

I don’t know who this guy is. I don’t know why I like this book so much 😆 it’s is a great easy listening audiobook, but I’m pretty sure I would have quit it if I was trying to read it in hand.

Straight into the artery of nostalgia.
When I found and read the first of these books in my grandparents' house as a kid, that's when the dream of becoming a veterinarian was truly born.

also INSANE how that one silly chapter in my 10th grade english textbook and i meet again through this book that someone randomly recommended to me as a healing novel ..... the world sure is small

Just before the world began falling apart in 1937, James Alfred Wright (pen name James Herriot), began his career in veterinary medicine In Darrowby in the Yorkshire Dales. I have watched the most recent PBS series, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The book captures so much more of the characters and episodes, which are charming and comforting, especially as my country begins falling apart.

This is a fun little book

This is one of my most favorite books I’ve ever ever read. It’s so pure and delightful, and I’m soo sad it’s coming to an end!

This book is growing on me. Although I like the narration, the vernacular is a bit tough at times. Plus I’ve lost parts of a few chapters because I listen to it while falling asleep.

Reading books that take place in England in the 1930s and 1940s is the only thing I find truly comforting these days.

This is so fun to revisit.

I cannot remember a time I simply couldn’t but down a book! The ultimate comfort read, my goodness.

Oh my goodness! This book is laugh out loud funny!
