Starting to get Interesting, u find it so fun to follow along with him on his journey

This book is the only thing keeping me sane rn

picking this back up again and seems like i am in the mood for this creature comfort.

Good read - perhaps too many cow births in the middle - but overall very fun and entertaining.

It’s still awful slow but I do enjoy biographies. I feel as though I’m with him through his whole journey and I’m learning about these things with him.

In a world gone haywire, the Yorkshire Dales of 80 years ago is a comforting place to be.

I haven't laughed this hard in ages. I'd forgotten both how funny these stories are, and what a gifted storyteller and talented writer Herriot was.

I am trying to provide updates now as I read books since I am so bad at succinct reviews. Maybe updates can help with composing the final review.

Luckily, this is a book I am enjoying quite a bit! I wanted a book about animals and I don’t think I could have picked a better one! These little stories that Herriot tells make me smile, laugh, and genuinely feel grateful for my dog and cat having good health.

LMAO. Some of these stories are out and out hilarious, and Herriot really is a marvelous and talented wordsmith.

Note for future reference: Chapter 13 contains an upbeat silly story that put a smile on my face.

Quite possibly the most wholesome book I've ever read.

chpt 14 on Tricki Woo, the spoiled, anthropomorphized Pekingese of a wealthy widow, made me smile, then laugh out loud. The vet is "Uncle Herriot" who gets gifts sent from Tricki. Hilarious chpt.

absolutely delightful, full of humor. It's keeping me awake on my commute home after working overnight in hospital.
