PcptCs-syst is located at prot. barrier, sep. psyche from environment. External excitations hindered from entering psyche; internal drives are contained within.

When external excitations stimulate a particular point, sometimes quantum of energy is too much -> when 'inside' the psyche devotes energy to control the stimulus. If not possible (because not anticipated) -> trauma -> dream's goal: control

Within the pyshce is a 'compulsion to repeat', which is more primal than and independent of (!) the 'pleasure principle'.

cf. children's play (and tragedies), dreams of traumatized patients, etc.

the ego represses (pleasure principle) and offers resistance, but the repressed ideas want to express themselves (what is this motive force???)

The speculation examines the unconscious processes and also consciousness. That belongs to systems Cs and Pcpt- Cs in metapsychology.
2- Memory traces

"For the living organism, the process protecting it against stimuli is almost more important than the process whereby it receiving stimuli."

"The tiny piece of living matter" will be destroyed if certain protection against stimuli not formed when floating in the world charged with powerful energy. The outermost surface thus abandoned the organic structure of living things and became inorganic, like a special cover, allowing only fraction of external energies to pass through. It becomes necrotic, to prevent the deeper matter from suffering the same fate.

A cortex would now so tempered that completely adapted to the reception and becomes incapable of further modification. Cs sys, analogically, any elements cannot undergo any changes as a result of the excitation, since they have already modified to the fullest possible extent in terms of this particular process.

The compulsion that repeat something generate nothing pleasure at all, not even the scrutiny of ego, exist both in neurosis and normal healthy people.
