Status Updates From Marian

This three-years-later jump is just cruel.

It's tough to write realistically stubborn teenagers without losing reader sympathy, but Ella Lyons is managing it nicely.

This is not at all what I was expecting.

just finished part 1 and idk how i feel about it ahhh

so ive met robin & i'm not sure how i feel about her just yet. i also resent this trope that to be a badass fighter you've got to hate being fancy and dressed up & enjoying feminine things D:

yeah like I said, too much is being crammed into this second half of the book. I would like this to be like 100 pages longer.

I really like Marian and her budding relationship with Robin but I was hoping for something more between them since this is supposed to be a f/F retelling. I feel like too much will be crammed in at the end.

I'm not a fan of the writing style but at least it's going quickly.
