a really skewed presentation of the differences between the two countries in regards to medical care/birth care. My recollection of medical attention and allowances in Norway looked nothing like what she describes. Maybe Finland is a ton more generous and flexible than Norway. Or maybe she’s cherry-picking.
It’s not breaking news that the medical system/health insurance system in the US is severely broken.

Somewhat interesting discussion about government creating individual freedom and what that means for love and family relationships. I disagree with most of her conclusions but at least it was interesting.
She’s making a very compelling argument for her moving back to Finland. Her husband should stop keeping her hostage in this confusing and backward country wherein she so unfortunately finds herself trapped.

So far the author is romanticizing the country she chose and ragging on a USA which I don’t recognize much. Some obvious issues as the free school and health care in the Nordic countries and the issues of complicated taxes and expensive health care and school/universities
