Me and Mari read only the first chapter and then somehow went from talking about that chapter to talking about ace attorney, and then I was reading her the fanfic I’ve been writing and then she read the fanfic she’s been writing and then we talked about headcanons and—
you get the idea.

if my alarm wasn’t set for 5.30am i’d stay up to finish reading this

this book is taking me way too long. what is even going on?

This book starts off fast paced- Eddie’s daughter is kidnapped and he has a bomb attached to him to defend the Russian mob boss. The story would have probably been entertaining enough with Eddie’s smart courtroom defense but he uses his past con man skills to outsmart the Russians and come out on top. I love book series so I’m excited to keep seeing what happens to Eddie, his daughter, and maybe even his wife

Well written enjoyed the story line and the great twist and turns.

Finishing this today if I do nothing else

Cavanagh quickly became my favorite author through his well plotted twists. He plants clues throughout that rarely get picked up, until the twist where it then seems so obvious. However, so far at least, this book, his first, is not one of twists, but one of intense emotion. The plot is driven through the intense circumstances. Very difficult to put down.

short chapters, i love that!! it's written well, the storyline is interesting, there are a lot of things that are still open about the main characters past and the case hes working on and what he is going to do to save his daughter and himself and that keeps it suspensefully and me wanting to keep reading.

Now this has taken off! I’m on the edge of my seat!

Strong start!

The pick up is like a action movie

Just a good old fashion action drama. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series
