"Jeden Sonntag bei zwölf bis achtzehn Grad unter null und anderthalb Meter Schnee zu meditieren war so religiös, dass es krachte." - die unterschwellige Religionskritik ist bisher auch das Beste am Buch.

Not bad; funny at times but a little too self aware

So far interesting and engaging - although not living up to earlier books by the author.

Det hann läsas en del på flyget. Boken är verkligen riktigt rolig och jag har råkat skratta högt några ggr. Karaktärerna är så speciella

No, nevím. Čte se to dobře, ale asi by mě to bavilo víc, kdybych to četla před Staříkem a Analfabetkou.

Not sure whether I like this tale or not. The chop chop style of writing is a bit awkward to read at times.

Hlavná podoba medzi Zabijakom Andersom a Bohom bola tá, že obaja zabíjali ľudí, ale že Zabijak Anders na rozdieľ od Boha ušetril deti.

Not a patch on his previous books. One of us is getting tired! The 100 year old man had me in hysterics from start to finish, and I was sorry when it ended. The girl who saved the King of Sweden made me laugh, almost from start to finish, and I then hoped that there would be another, where Jonasson would get back on the ball. But no, this one was puzzling, mildly amusing on occasions, and barely raised a chuckle.

That's it: I'm skim-reading this from now on. I'm REALLY disappointed by this book!

Aaargh!! This just isn't making any sense and isn't remotely funny either! A former hitman finding Jesus and wanting to start his own church?! If things don't improve soon, I'm going to DNF it.

This book is such a disappointment... I really loved The Hundred-Year-Old Man, but Hitman Anders is nothing like that book. Boring, poor character development and plot, not funny at all... I'm really wondering if I should just DNF it.

Meh definitely not as good as what I was hoping for. Actually, the story is quite boring, lacks character development, I feel no connection to the characters and it's not funny at all. Also, the plot is weak so far.

I'm not impressed so far. The Hundred-Year-Old Man is a favorite of mine, but I can't say I'm having similar feelings for this one.

I'm not enjoying readings this as much as I did 'The Hundred Year Old Man...'. The translation does not seem great in places.

The plot, as expected from Jonasson, is wild and dramatic. But I am not enjoying it as much as his other books. Still getting into it.

Die Geschichte ist irgendwie "blutarm", was nicht das Gegenteil von blutrünstig ist. Schade.
