So far this is two stars. The writing is pretty good but I hate a lot of the characters and how devil they are. That second star is only there because I know I’m supposed to hate this family except for Nila and mission accomplished I do.

Saying she’s a bad person and that raping her and torturing her is justifiable because her family treated yours badly centuries ago is mind boggling.

What kind of debt gets paid six hundred years later and it’s in the form of (essentially) human trafficking. Just give these people money or shares of your successful company or have you fashion designer daughter make high end clothes exclusively for them. Don’t just sell your daughter to them.

I don’t like wierd energy or the unironic use of the word “male” more than once in the first chapter. I don’t like the idea that you can force an adult to go anywhere with you because in tour eyes and their father’s eyes you own that person. If she doesn’t want to go with you she shouldn’t have to. Alarm bells are going off in my brain right now.
