Just finished the first section, “Superstition” and am really enjoying the story so far. Long time lover of the film and first time reader of the book. Love the storytelling and narrative style of Alice Hoffman.

Soooo I thought for some reason this was a witchy children’s book… it’s not really either one lol at least so for nothing witchy or magical about it and it’s definitely not a children’s book because of the language and talk of sex

Glad Gillian and Ben Feyre are together. Also the rabbit as a pet makes sense, but is also weird for a grown adult man. But u know, material gUrL!

He’s hard constantly, okay Alice Hoffman. I think I know why parents are so carful about children’s books. Like this was one of my favorite movies I’ve watched from the 90’s, so why are we focused on this man whose a good person scaring old women, falling for a clearly broken woman, and being hard all the time. I need therapy.
