I know it's not the same as the movie, but I am NOT enjoying this...

I won’t be finishing it. Almost halfway through it and there isn’t a single likable characteristic about any of the characters. Not a one seems like she has any redeeming qualities. Thankful for the movie. This is a rare instance I honestly can say the movie is a hundred times better.

The story is really good but the grammar drives me crazy. Every sentence seems to have 4 ands & a bunch of commas. Like girl, split up your sentences. I feel like I’m getting whip lash reading this.

Crud, I just realized I've been listening to the abridged edition of this audio book. 🫤

Been kinda an amble of a pace so far but seems like it will perhaps pick up and get back to the plot…? But love the characters and sisterhoods <3

Speed reading now. Too much fluff, lists, unnecessary details. Every paragraph is extremely long.

This put me in a reading slump and took me 2 weeks to get 50%. This book is like only 300 pages. So… yeah I guess not for me!!

The writing style, meandering story telling and super long chapters was a no from me.

Awesome!

Not loving the writing style so far.

Having a lot of trouble connecting to the story. But I also have 8 million real life things happening so maybe I just can’t focus.

Been obsessed with the movie vibes so I had to give it a read but the book is not so fairytale good vibes. It feels like a diary that shifts through all the characters and they’re a lot nastier and honest and real than I expected them to be. Still, the book has been drifting in limbo for 200 pages and only now is it starting to pick up the main plot of the movie, when the detective comes to investigate the murder
