In this book there labels for every "tendency" you may have. For instance, I am lark, I like to get up early, a questioner, I question everything, a finisher that open box of cereal is going to bug me till I finish it, and an under buyer, I want my stuff to wear out before I buy a new one. She helps you find your tendencies so you can recognize the best way to cultivate new habits in yourself so they stick.

When will it end....I wish the author would focus more on habits and less on anecdotes.

Learning so much about how we all have certain tendencies about how we do things. Once you have an idea of how you like to work or how you are wired you can figure out how to start new habits and get the best out of your own work style. I know so far I am a questioner, lark and unfortunately procrastinator.

So far, this book is annoying. It sounds like a long journal entry about the authors attempt to change her habits. I am hoping she will provide more scientific information on changing habits.

"With your book about happiness, you were trying to answer the question 'How do I become happier?' And this book is 'No, *seriously,* how do I become happier?'"
Will there be a third about spontaneity or letting go?

"Habit makes it dangerously easy to become numb to our own existence."
Yes, I'm worried about that part it. Hope this gets addressed.

Okay, so, I struggle with Gretchen Rubin. I like some of her advice, but I recognize that she is very wealthy, which makes many of her suggestion often out of reach for people like me. But, I'm going to try to read it as is and see what I can glean rather than read it as a quasi-memoir of her perfect life.

Another addition to my self-help books, but this one just sees right through me. Just a few pages in and I am so excited to try things out already. I am definitely not regretting on this unplanned purchase! I'm so happy right now yay!

I decided to give this one a bit more of a go before turning it back in. It has some interesting insights here and there.

Getting some inspiration to do some quick tidying. The one-minute-rule has been bouncing around in my head all week. Hope I can keep it up long term.

started listening to her podcast recently + despite it feeling like an overdose of self-help got sucked in by sisterly interchange + that she really seems 2find good + simple ways 2make things go more smoothly... so far this book cont's in this vein. Been listening while doing things around the house - finding it encouraging tho some of the frustrations she addresses are a lil heartbreaking + I m a rebel in her bk/ha

#boutofbooks Naturally, I skipped ahead to the quiz on page 267. I seem roughly equal in the Questioner, Obliger, and Rebel tendencies. This does not bode well.
