I really like how bits from Ross' father's books are speckled between the chapters. But I'm not sure how they incorporate into the story. I hope that's explained, or obvious at some point.

I feel I must resist the urge to either check your skull for injuries, or give you one. Are your friends as dull-witted as you are, or have we been allotted our full contingent of water-logged simpletons?

I'm already scared of elevators, due to the whole claustrophobia and fear of being trapped thing. Add some water starting to pour into said elevator with the doors stuck closed, and I'm pretty sure I'd die of a heart attack right there!!!

Your job is to write your life as big as you can, and bear down as hard as the marker can take it, and have fun doing it. Life is a bumper car arena. Drive the hell out of it until the man at the control panel turns off your car.

Ooook....here I go. None of my friends have read this, so I'm walking in without any preconceived notions or expectations.

Ok, back to riding the train to work tomorrow, so I should finally get a chance to finish this great book.

Cannot take this anymore. Dropped.
The monster was like an eel, snake, cuttlefish. Then it's a dragon. Then it's feline like. This author didn't get the memo that a simile needs to be consistent also, that they should not, SHOUTING NOT, be used in every other sentence or more frequently.

The writing is kind of terrible... Don't know why I don't just start something else.
