I have waited for this books for so long and now I need it to be longer! The end is closing in and I never want this book to finish!

don't want it to end. This book is incredible like I knew it would be. It has definitely fulfilled expectations. But must stop reading or it will be over far too quickly

Ilyas had never met anyone like Elliott. It was odd knowing someone so altruistically, selflessly good.

Totally enjoyable read, but not fast going. Great military sequences, good superstition and mythology, and excellent sense of place--being the muddy freezing fields of the Crimean War.

Love could not be evil. He believed in that more than any deity, more than anything.

This is fabulous. Incredible historical detail, very hot romance, twisty fantasy plot, really sinister scary magic. Loving it.
