This book is a real Debbie Downer of a book. I don't know how or if Reid will be able to turn it around for the last third, but at the moment I'm mainly exhausted and disappointed. 😮‍💨

I really can’t tell if ASID and this one have a historical setting with magical realism or if it’s a plain fantasy setting, but I can tell you that fighter planes DO NOT fit the atmosphere of this story at all.

This book is so boring. So underwhelming after the first one. Debating if I dnf it because I honestly have no idea what is supposed to be happening...

I fear I’m not as enthused and the book is losing me a little bit. I’m trying to figure out why I should care about everything that I’m reading, but I’m almost kind of content to DNF right now and just skip to the ending….
