okay it’s dawning on me that the pace and prose of this book is an intentional reflection of how mentally ill the protagonists are rn so I GUESS i can appreciate that though I still think things could have paced and edited better.

this has been really slow going, plot wise….. circuitous even…. repetitive perhaps… ouroboros character interactions and events

I’m so confused…I can’t keep all of these myths and stories and sleepers and authors etc etc etc straight

Oh yeah also forgot to mention suddenly the mc guy was going from calm to anger issues inside his head. Just weird.

A the brat also threatened him and called her names. Let’s just keep it at reading a very explicit fanficyion.

This just makes me, upset. Yeah. Upset. Do not pick this book thinking you explore library and som gothic fairytale story.

It’s like a historical drama in the 50s, where for a long time the characters do not fight back and just have to suck it up.

I just don’t like it when there are too many people to get at them and no one gets a whiplash for it. Like the whole professor thing. Setting her up. Using him. Etc

Here still in some way or form) but really? You could write anything and you go with keeping the angst and making her a damsel and scared fawn? And the couple not have any conversation about their problems and just awful treatment, I am half way in and no resolution an too many people I dislike and this is NOT a cozy read. I am on edge, and frankly it gets really under my skin. I get tension, I get difficult topics

Its just, in the first book it was already a very thick plot on that but luckily they moved away from school and then the damsel saved herself but a lot of damsel parts, but she overcame it and got herself into the lite study and fired the prof and got herself name on the paper. Also why is there so much angst in it. He being mistreated she is basically called a wh*re while her teacher as her. The deen is just awful. The teacher is supposedly fired but not really. The schoolpaper calls her a lair and a promiscuous lady trying to smear the teachers reputation.

Oh and there is a brat that reminds me too much of Draco Malfoy or Lucius Malfoy constantly questioning the mc guy

First thing first, I don’t like her being small and the angst of them being almost prosecuted for challenging the status quo. I don’t like the fact he is being used by the teacher and belittled by everybody (same for her) and that he doesn’t share what he is going through (same for her) story focuses mostly on him and vooroordelen towards him as a “mixed blood”
