I don’t know how to feel about this book a lot of small things have been happening up until now.
I like the book but I just feel like the plot is non existent other than the fact that both main characters have trauma

Where is the character I liked so much? Why can’t these two communicate? WHY is Ava Reid rehashing the plot from the previous book of men are bad and always will rape, and including INCEST in it, and no one is saying anything?

This might become a DNF.

I like that we are seeing Preston’s point of view in this book and I’m quite enjoying this possession thing he’s got going on regarding Effy.

But I have a feeling that Effy is going to be shoved to the side and there’s going to be a lot of miscommunication.

I have read more than 60 percent of the book and the lack of communication is starting to hurt. They are both hurting and there's simply no progress for the last 20 % of the book.

I really want to like this book but I am starting to have my serious doubts that this sequel was most likely not necessary and is just a money grab.
