This extremely slow plot progression

So many conflicted feelings about this one.

I’m so happy to be back with these characters 😭 Listening on a slower speed than I normally set it just so I can savor every single word 🎧

I love the main characters Effy & Preston and the world they live in but why is this book so slow and drawn out 😭

I can already tell the romance will be the biggest driving force of this narrative and that disappoints me a bit. I also loved the water-logged, crumbling mansion at the seaside, gothic vibes of the first book. I’m less intrigued by collegiate settings. It’s early days and I trust Ava Reid, but first impression isn’t stellar.

I love established relationships, theres so much to do with them, obstacles they can still go through; so I'm very pleased Effy and Preston are struggling despite loving each other.

Also, I still read Agartian and Agarthan lol
