So much of my distress was and is rooted in my preoccupation with what I thought I “should” do, whether conscious or subconscious. Societal norms, family expectations, and social media messaging make for a strong cocktail of influence. I wasn’t living a life that fit me! But on paper it looked wonderful. I had to listen to my inner voice and figure out what I truly wanted

I feel this deeply not only in my past marriage but in friendships. I want to show up as authentically me!! I want to build relationships on the foundation and truth of the best/most honest version of myself

My inner voice was shouting at me that my life wasn’t in alignment with ME
