It’s lowkey boring and I keep getting different point of views of the characters…

After enjoying ‘How To Kill Your Family’ by this author, I had high hopes for this book, but it was a struggle. I found it a bit flat and long-winded.

DIDN'T BLADDY SEE THAT COMING, that was an enjoyable twist. A little over an hour of listening left, I gotta know how this mfer died

Good read

This is good but its hit a slow spot

This may turn into a DNF… I just can’t get into the writers narrative style

More is happening now and it’s getting more interesting

Surprisingly finding this a bit of a struggle to get in to. Maybe just cos I haven't had my Ritalin since starting? Will try again tomorrow I guess 🥲

Slow burn so far but the characters are intriguing so it’s still an enjoyable read so far.

Ik vind het lastig geschreven en kom niet in het boek. Na de eerste 50 bladzijdes ongeveer maakt het me ook niet wat er met de karakters gebeurt. Ik ga het wegleggen, misschien later nog een kans.

Het idee van het verhaal (van een plek tussen leven en dood waar je uit moet vinden waarom je bent gestorven) was erg leuk, maar werd naar mijn mening te weinig belicht. Het verhaal had ook wel wat korter gekund. Desondanks wel genoten :)

I loved the first book so fingers crossed this one is just as good, or better

Did he kill him to give the fortune to his sister but she was pretending to leave to give the alibi?

This last chapter has been the best in the whole book!
Shame it took so long to get there but will framing her is a good twist, obvious but good
You can see now though that the uncle won’t give any money over and has probably used it all but I’m still not 100% sure what the youngest is holding over him

London so perhaps the sister or uncle are informants but there are a lot of typos I’ve noticed and I’m not sure if they are intentional

I still think the source is the driver but the other two options could be Will or the uncle Olivia’s brother
Both have motives
Still not that I not that invested

It has to be Lyra who's the informant

All this unravelling of the night and tbh I think it's Will, just makes sense to me

So the missing earring was his wife’s but that could have come from the set up?

And with the current state of his interactions that night I wouldn’t be surprised if he did in fact impale himself after all

Still not loving it and finding the writing a bit clunky - trying to read it faster so it’s finished faster to move on
