A murder, a dysfunctional family & a girl trying to solve something. Interesting enough story line to read but somewhere the execution of it was bland.

Till 30% this book had me hooked to what was going on. After that, I clearly have no idea where the story was trying to go. There were moments that helped me finish through the book. But honestly the last few pages I was so lost.

these characters are currently killing me slowly

She spent a lot of time in her room, and I naively assumed that was when she chose to grieve, until I walked in one morning and found her enthusiastically singing along to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. That unnerved me, I had no idea anyone in my family enjoyed Queen.

It’s a mistake men often make, thinking their wives are stupid when they’re actually just full of rage.

He was certainly fixated on the woman, staring at her cleavage with the kind of dedication that might leave him with a migraine if he wasn’t careful.

Looking forward to something a bit easier to read now. The last 2 months of reading material has been heavy.

Not as good as Bella’s debut novel, How to Kill Your Family… bit disappointed as that book was great, finding most of the characters pretty awful and can’t warm to any of them… determined to finish it though!!!

The first line was crazy, a very good hook. I’m also enjoying the different perspectives through the chapters.
