[Nonetheless, I go on writing. conscious that my loose sheets of paper may contain my last hope that this fault in time is only temporary, the hope that the next sheer will never be filled, because time will return to normal and there will be no more eighteenths of November to write about.]

Additionally, hasn’t anyone in her family notice how Tara has changed? Didn’t she remark at some point about her growing hair despite the time-standstill? Even one year can make a difference in noticeable changes in the face. Does her family not think she looks different?
I need some of these incredibly basic issues to be fleshed out by now.

To be frank, it’s frustrating that so little has been tested and so little done. We’re 400+ days in and, to the best of my understanding, Tara hasn’t attempted radical methods. No videoing someone to show them the next day, for example. Maybe the video would be wiped with everything else, but we don’t know because Tara hasn’t tried yet. How has she not tried yet?

Still very slow compared to the first book. I did enjoy the character “finding the seasons” and traveling around the world to chase those seasons on the same day in time. But, it waited until the last paragraph to actually make a break through… Too long enough…

Honestly, it would be tough to be Tara, but I can’t help but think of the likely millions of folks who are having a terrible Nov 18 and have to keep reliving that again and again and again and again.
Imagine your worst day. Maybe a parent died, or a partner left you, or you watched your pet be run over. Imagine THAT being the day you’re stuck in without knowing. THAT is the horror of this story, to me.
