I think the Creole part is possibly true, and maybe the fact that she wasn't all that welcome. I think beforehand, at least before Josephine started conducting affairs, it was more equalhanded, and the details of Napoleon's early life too, and also spending two pages speculating on why Napoleon did the things he did, or even why that was the case,while reducing his law code to just a sentence is ridiculous.

Too sensational, some of them make me go back. I was able to kind of even find some that disproved the Napoleon law code, that basically reduced them all to literal children, which was only really applicable for that. He may have been jeaous, but her portrayal of Napoleon is wildly inconsistent to say the least. Josephine, is better, but man, the whitewashing is kind of nauseating.
