Keeping my 1-star rating until/unless it changes as I read more.

@chapter 8...H now starting to show his hand. He picked drugged-up but now-rehabbing emotionless h as his "perfect partner" to (I think) sabotage his arranged engagement to his cheating fiance. Poor h is acting like a robot now that she's out of her withdrawals.

Several chapters in and I feel like this book needed SEVERAL trigger warnings. That aside, it’s good so far and I want to know more about Ghost’s background.

It didn't hit the same as thought it would. It wasn't sad even though it was. It shows another which I feel is a different approach to trauma. They way it turns you dark in a twisted way and you become glad when someone can love you that way without having you change. Because that is who you are. That was nice and twisted. He wasn’t overly nice or empathetic having gone through stuff too. Kinda of realistic.

I love Alexei, but Mr Viktor the Pakhan? That man is a God. I need his story asap 👀

le sigh...Alexei is def not book boyfriend material. I love a misunderstood H as much as the next girl but he's really pushing my buttons. Stupid insufferable man.

Really heavy and emotional so far. Both the h and H has so much baggage and they are just so broken. Hopefully I get some romance soon because it's honestly depressing right now.
