It was hard to get on board with the characters chemistry, so much of it is whiplash with their conflicting feelings so its been difficult to navigate how I feel about the book, but it’s getting better as I go!

Okay so... I get the premise and the issues regarding Natives in this book. I get the trigger warnings now. However, it's kinda repetitive, leaves a sour taste on the tongue and makes the reader uncomfortable imo. It's like a kid watching people fight. The argument one as a white person i don't think I'm privy too. I'm also with Neil, he's a good guy. TRYING. She has a chip she needs to get over. Sigh-

Alright, this is gonna be a tough read. I cannot root for the FMC at all. She’s already getting on my last nerve. She threw a book at that guy and caused him to bleed at a book con. Who the heck does that?? Also I just I got a small taste of the “horror” that’s supposed to be in this book. God grant me strength. 🤦🏻‍♀️

So far it wasn't exactly what I expected after reading the blurb, but I'm not dogging it. So far I like the characters, especially the authors use of body language to show the tension/attraction. There could be a bit more editing, especially when it comes to repetition of names. And some scenes could have been fleshed out more. (I.e: ghost tour) but I'm invested.

This is cute ... corny, but cute. Good spooky season read.

Here’s the thing…I just feel like if the roles were reversed and the MMC threw a book at the FMC in the prologue, we would all find that unforgivable.

if either of the two main characters (both authors) write as bad as the actual author, no wonder they have trouble writing

The fact that this book is being traditionally published is making me question the integrity of publishing as a whole. If this was on Kindle Unlimited, I would be like, yeah, for sure. But I just can't believe this is making it through traditionally publishing channels. It reads like a Wattpad story.
