Status Updates From I Don't

Sorry if you get nonstop notifications from me as I work my way through this. Just started Chapter 2 and found the groove. We're still in deep snark/sarcasm territory but right now it doesn't bother me at all.

I'm really into this history of marriage. The part about clergy still getting to fuck until the Gregorians came along and said hey we want you to be celibate so that everything you earn goes back to the church is interesting, but it's followed with the declaration that marriage was not always the norm in Christianity, and I found that a little harder to grasp without more context/proof. Maybe I missed something!

-This book is too big. Literally white knuckles trying to hold on to it with one hand. C'mon! It's a 350+ page paperback that may as well have been printed on 8x11 printer paper. That's how it feels size-wise. Which is to say, bad. A possible upside to this is that it'll be unmissable on the bookshelf.

-The level of sarcasm in this book is something I'm not used to in a reading experience and it is not my fave.
