Chapter 4 is all about "beginnings". I assumed this chapter would go over a few good ways of structuring Act 1 in its entirety, but this chapter was literally all about the very first line and paragraph in your story. Thanks Mr. Bell, I have my opening paragraph and it's fantastic. Now how should I flesh out the rest of Act 1? What? No response? Just skip to the middle of the book? Okay, great...thanks?

Not really impressed with chapters 3 and 4. How to "explode" with plot ideas? Really? I bought this book because I am a beginning author and I already have tons of ideas. I guess I'll just have to go back to it if I ever come down with a bout of writer's block.

Doing the exercises as I go along. This is one to savor.
