This book is dripping with poison. Absolutely horrific. It reads like a mad man’s ramblings and unfolds at its climax like a slow-motion nightmare.

my biggest regret is reading this book in English. i just know it would have been so much better in Spanish. this is too dense for my brain right now.

me siento un poco abrumada. admito que me esta costando bastante continuar este libro, a pesar del poco tiempo que llevo leyendolo. espero que solo sea algo momentaneo, ya que este libro es super corto y no quisiera terminarlo con esta sensacion un tanto decepcionante.

No me está convenciendo (¿realmente era necesaria tanta descripción de las "fantasías" de Franco?) pero se lee rapidísimo así que posiblemente lo termine pronto

El problema con Polo es su entorno lleno de violencia del que no parece tener forma de escapar. Y la violencia aleatoria a la que enfrenta Milton me horroriza.

Violently vulgar and crass and raw. Fernanda truly knows how to make your skin crawl; she’s also incredibly realistic with the way she portrays the boys. Violent, angry and misogynistic.

Very, very good. Lyrical writing and unreliable narrators, what more could you ask for?

I’m barely in and I don’t know if I can stomach this book. Seriously considering DNF

so far this is disturbing and creepy and awful but it’s told in a way where it all just keeps tumbling out and sucks you in and you can’t stop reading

It took me a few days to get into it but for halfway through it I wanted to sob because of how unfortunate the circumstances of the main characters are.

I’m so nervous about what these boys are getting into
