I’m into Danua of course. Ember is a little straight up dumb at times and I think she might have a lying problem. Like sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut. Give a non answer don’t straight up lie every single time. The side characters are insufferable at times. I understand the growing up poor and being the oldest sibling though. I don’t hate it but I’m not into it.

DNFing because there's something about second hand embarrassment as the main comedy bits that makes me shrivel inside, also I just don't like the fact the central conflict is the main character lying about EVERYTHING that's very frustrating. A few things here and there is fine, but everything isn't fun to read about.

Audiobook. I love this so far. Ember is hilarious and SO relatable.
