Status Updates From A Real Good Bad Thing

2.5* (and I think I'm gonna round down)
The characters were nice, I liked them together despite the insta lust + insta love and tbh the story itself could've been a quick, fun, easy 3* read, but I just cannot get past the amount of smut there was, it solved down the plot sm, it was fine when we got back to actual story, but then another smut would appear and it really fucked with the experience soz

The audiobook was🔥tho!! on 2x
loved the narrators
was listening on 2x, but seriously considered going above, maybe trying 2.2x or sth cos they were sounding v natural speed on duble so I think I could've easily went above, anyway

Also this entire thing took place in A WEEK
And they were all ily like bffr...
And the whole thing at the end just felt a bit rushed, like it wrapped up too quickly... I guess there wasnt more time.. If only some of those sex scenes were used for writing some actual scenes.. Ah well

Line in seriously considering a 2* cos I'm feeling a 2.5* and idk if it lives up to a 3*...could've maybe if it weren't for all the sex... I literally felt myself disassociating at them after a while like I just dgaf about them fucking for the nth time..

Finished last nite and I gotta say those last 2h40m were rough

7 hours in, there's still 2h40m left and I just... I feel like 7 hours was plenty of time to tell this story, if not for the abundance of smut

Ughh honestly felt like crying when they were once again going at it, it's so relentless, every other chapter sth smutty has to happen and then they keep thinking about it too, it's really slowing down an otherwise fun plot, there's literally no fuckin reason for the amount of smut this book has, fr your story is fun you don't need to rely on stuffing your book choke full of smut for it to sell/be good
