Status Updates From What It Means to Be Protest...

Origen states that "[Christians] not only avoid temples, altars, and images, but are ready to suffer death when it is necessary rather than debase by any such impiety the conception which they have of the most high God... Origen responds that Christians have their own kinds of statues, altars, and temples—using these terms as metaphors for prayer, Christian virtues, and the Christian body."

Doing a *blinking guy meme* every now and then, because some of these lines are straight out of videos and debates he's had. (I don't blame him, it's just funny the way books work sometimes.... saying the same things, simply in a different format.)

Looking forward to musing on Ortlund’s book What It Means to be Protestant + Littlejohn’s book Why Protestants Convert in light of ~my viral article~ and why, as I’ve had to belabor to men, an overwhelming number of women are psychologically attracted to the bodily and sexual standards of Rome and maybe why that looks attractive when men are in leadership. You know, as a woman. 😇
