The writing style continues to be weird as hell, and the casual way in which he reveals he's a vampire is just odd, and anticlimactic.

What an odd book.

I am only 1 chapter in but the MC is nihilistic to the point of giving me depression by proxy. The writing style is odd, and despite being verbose i know so incredibly little about the MC that i didn't even realise they were female until they mentioned feigning menstrual cramps.

It is intriguing enough to continue for now

I’m really enjoying the flashback/memory chapters of her mother, things that happened before and after she left the family, the relationship is so complex and how it intercepts with her religious upbringing they are so intertwined (her mother and God)

Catholic guilt/anxiety is SO real. Feeling so validated reading this 🥲
