Yea…umm this book is not worth it. It’s like a horny teenager wrote it. The part that sent me over the edge to actually DNF it is when he says “If it makes you feel better, I’ll even pretend we’re just friends while I’m nine deep, ringing your bell.” LIKE EWWW BRO LIKE CALM THE FREAK DOWN. YUCK

dude has a puck in his throat. its a sports book, didn't you catch that? it's about hockey. so ofc it has to be a puck and not a normal sentence like maybe being tongue tied or something.

i have never read a book by this woman and i am one known to blindly choose books out of a one sentence synopsis.. but girl.. tessa.... girl... what are you doing.... please just read some fanfiction or something! it is worlds better than the whiplash of smut you get from this. all of a sudden hearing very smutty language when it was normal for the majority of the beginning is wild! you can't switch it up that fast!

Laughably bad. It’s like she started with a plot and got bored with it and just straight to smut. Smut and little to no story and no character buildup to the relationship. All surface level attraction. I wanted to try one of her shorter stories before committing to a full length book and glad I did cuz this was not it for me. Some folks like that but not my brand.

I know I probably shouldn’t have started this one but I was intrigued cause it had an audio recording attached to the ebook itself. I like the guys voice. It’s a sport romance type book making it different from what I typically read but I’m not hating it.

The writing was so funny to me it’s like someone was trying to write about something that OBVIOUSLY never happened to them. Idk what to say but all I can say, in honor of what this book deserves “I couldn’t help but slow clap that it was over and I never had to read it again.”

DNFing this. It's just filthy. The synopsis reads like a slow burn, but even though they're not sleeping together, they're thinking about sleeping together the whole time and so it's still unbelievably smutty.
