this book is so dang interesting

As one of the first scientific books I’ve read, I am fascinated with how it has maintained my attention and how much I have learned over the 250 pages so far.

A fascinating read on the sound that we create for our technological benefit and how things that we think are good can also be just as destructive for other species and populations.

I left today’s reading a little disappointed. While I did find it interesting, I’m not as fascinated with the science behind what she unfolded in this chapter. I will see I am still intrigued on what there is to learn going forward.

The science of sound underwater seems to be so much of a new science, but fascinating to hear developments of such an interesting topic.

It’s just fascinating science of sound that I never even knew existed. And while a great deal of depth of knowledge has gone into this book, Kingdon has done a fantastic job at simplifying the complexity and made a great read for everyone.
