Status Updates From These Gentle Wounds

Like always, I went into this book knowing barely anything about it. And I'm happy about that decision. I had no idea mental illness would be a main focus/topic in the book. I can relate to the MC so much and understand how he 'spins' into his mind often. This isn't a very popular book, surprisingly, but I'm liking it so far.

Noooooo. And Sarah was going so well too!! Why did she have to do that?? I mean, it is not the worst thing she could have done, but I am still a little sad it happened.

I am really liking this so far! I am just hoping, praying, this girl does not become one of those "not like other girls" girl. I really really hope she does not. I have hope though.

This book just keeps getting better and better. I was not prepared for the level of angst or the emotional investment I would have when I opened this book.

So far I'm only liking the writing style. I feel like something's missing and it's not just because Sarah's not even intriguing. At some point I started skimming a few paragraphs because things weren't interesting enough. I'll go crazy if I mark another book unfinished so I'll be forcing myself to see this one through :/

I feel the need to say this at this point, yes at this point, of the book: OKAY, MY HEART, CALM DOWN.

This book is so on point. THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE PTSD. I love Gordie and his adorably shy personality. I just love this book and I wasn't expecting to and now I don't know what to do.

I love Gordie. He's so painfully awkward and shy it's killing me. Not to mention how freaking SPOT ON this representation of PTSD is in this book. I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it is.
