Status Updates From A Course in Miracles: Combi...

Restarting as we're at the beginning of a year. I managed to read small portions of the work book with a study group until about Sept Time last year, then work took over and I stopped paying attention to it. Some of the teachings stay with you, but I don't feel I'm a proper student yet...I'm still just on the periphery!

I have a deep desire to understand different spiritual paths and have read many inspiring personal accounts from those who have completed the course.

That being said…the premise of the book is suspect as I don’t believe in spiritual dictation, and the author is unnecessarily wordy which will make it unappealing to many would-be readers.

This is life changing program that may take longer than a year to complete. The lessons assist in deprogramming the mind away from separation and into unity and peace. Deep Soul work here!

This is a life changing program which takes a year to complete. Sometimes it takes me a couple of days to work through a lesson and feel its wisdom settle in my heart.

“The lion and the lamb lie down together” may be interpreted as innocence and strength can coexist.

Important note on fear.
Fear is a lack of love; our minds are more under our direction than we realize; fear cannot persist in the presence of absolute love.

Good

“Perfect love casts out fear. If fear exists, then there is not perfect love.” (Pg. 14)
It bears emphasis that our fear is self-created through distorted perception (illusion and distorted vision).
There is only love, and the struggle to become unified with it.
“The real purpose of this world is to use it to correct your unbelief”. After overcoming this, we can may obtain love.

Completed the text and 3 months out of 12 into the workbook. Just starting the Manual For Teachers.

I mean will I ever finish this book?

siento que nunca me lo voy a terminar, muy largo y muy denso, pero tan verdadero en lo que cuenta.

I’ve just begun the book and it’s taking a minute to understand the terms. I have to read the same sentence a couple times before I fully understand. But I have a good feeling about this book, I’m enjoying what I’m reading.

Going to be a slow and steady process with this book but I’ll be updating along the way.

I have a way to go with this. Studying the text every morning. It all makes sense to me, yet is so vast that I realize I’m not to rush through the work, but to savor and do the work of learning from it.

Oh my GOD (no pun intended) this book is SO JUDGMENTAL, repetitious, hypocritical, and hyper critical. There’s a difference between passing a message along and criminalizing you for everything you ever even think to do and calling you insane all the way along. Society literally couldn’t function if people reacted like this book suggests. BIG UGH ENERGY.
